Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporations

We provide independent financial statement audits for corporations registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006, tailored to applicable CATSI Act and ORIC reporting requirements. Independent audits of grant acquittal statements can be included where required, with the scope agreed separately to meet the relevant funding agreement.
Audit Edge provides independent audit services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporations registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (CATSI Act).
We work with each corporation to understand its reporting obligations and conduct the audit in accordance with the relevant legislative requirements and Australian Auditing Standards.
Our audit procedures include examining financial records, testing transactions and balances, and obtaining appropriate evidence to support our independent audit opinion.
A collaborative approach
Every corporation has its own structure, activities and operational requirements. Audit Edge takes a practical, collaborative approach to planning and conducting each audit, working with the corporation’s directors, management and existing advisers to coordinate the engagement and establish clear expectations and timeframes.
Where a corporation operates across regional or remote locations, we can adapt our approach to suit the engagement, including coordinating electronic documentation and remote meetings where appropriate.
How we help: We provide clear communication, practical coordination and a structured audit process to help corporations meet their reporting obligations.
