Co-operatives

We provide independent financial statement audits for co-operatives, tailored to applicable requirements under the Co-operatives National Law, with audit timetables aligned with annual general meetings and regulatory reporting deadlines.

How the audit works

How the audit works

Audit Edge provides independent audit services to co-operatives required to have their financial statements audited under the Co-operatives National Law, as applied in the relevant state or territory, or other applicable requirements.

Audit and financial reporting obligations depend on factors including the size of the co-operative, its activities and any other applicable requirements. In Queensland, large co-operatives are generally required to have their financial statements audited, while small co-operatives may also require an audit in certain circumstances.

We work with directors, management and accountants to establish the applicable requirements, examine financial records and supporting evidence, and complete the audit in accordance with the relevant legislative and reporting obligations.

How we help: We clarify the audit requirements, identify the documentation needed and coordinate with your finance team to help complete the audit within relevant reporting deadlines.
